Ammar Saymeh, DPM

Dr. Ammar Saymeh is a skilled foot and ankle surgeon in New Jersey and the Director of Lower Extremity Services at Alliance Orthopedics. He provides orthopedic care for patients of all ages, from children with sports injuries to older adults managing chronic foot and ankle issues, at our orthopedic clinics in Old Bridge, East Brunswick, and Freehold, New Jersey.

Dr. Saymeh is passionate about helping people feel better through both conservative care and advanced surgical options. His clinical and surgical interests include Achilles tendon injuries, ankle sprains and strains, ligament and tendon injuries, and arthritis-related issues. He also specializes in minimally invasive procedures, including bunion and hammertoe correction, arthroscopic surgery, fracture repair, and reconstructive surgery for flatfoot and other foot and ankle deformities.

He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and Rutgers University, and then went on to receive his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. After completing his education at Temple, Dr. Saymeh completed his three-year surgical residency training at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, a Level 1 trauma center, where he gained extensive hands-on experience in complex foot and ankle cases.

Before joining Alliance Orthopedics, Dr. Saymeh worked in private practices across Pennsylvania and South Jersey. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey, board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and board-qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, reflecting his commitment to high standards in both clinical care and surgical expertise.

Committed to staying at the forefront of his field, Dr. Saymeh continues to train residents and attend conferences throughout the year to keep up with the latest surgical techniques. He holds certifications in several specialized systems, including the Arthrex MIS Level III, the Zimmer and Exactech total ankle replacement systems, and the ProStep Minimally Invasive System by Wright Medical in techniques for both forefoot and rearfoot minimally invasive procedures. Most recently, he completed training at the world-renowned Duke Orthopedics in the Exactech Vantage Total Ankle System and completed the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy course.

With a strong belief in combining innovation with compassionate orthopedic care, Dr. Saymeh takes the time to listen to his patients in New Jersey and guide them toward treatments that fit their needs and lifestyle. His goal is to get every patient back on their feet, literally, with confidence and comfort.
