Santiago Guzman

Santiago Guzman MOT, OTR/L is a highly trained occupational therapist at Alliance Orthopedics. He specializes in rehabilitation of the upper extremity, focusing on decreasing chronic pain and maximizing function and independence in all activities of life.

Santiago attended LaGuardia Community College where he graduated with his Associate’s Degree in Dietetics, from there Santiago attended Queens College, where he graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. From there, Santiago attended Seton Hall University, where he earned his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Fieldwork experience includes practice in an acute care hospital setting and outpatient mental health rehabilitation. Clinical exposure involved working with patients with traumatic brain injury and stroke, post-surgical hand rehabilitation, cognitive and visual-motor delays, and individuals presenting with a range of upper extremity and neurological deficits. Santiago is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and the American Red Cross Adult and First
Aid and CPR.
