Mehul Shah, DO is a highly skilled pain management physician joining the esteemed team at Alliance Orthopedics. 

Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Shah completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University, graduating with honors and receiving a degree in biology/neuroscience. He pursued his medical education at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he achieved an outstanding top-ten ranking in his class and simultaneously earned a Masters of Public Health degree from the same institution. To further refine his expertise, Dr. Shah successfully completed an anesthesiology residency and an interventional pain management fellowship at Tufts University/Baystate Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and holding specialized board certification in pain medicine, Dr. Shah is dedicated to patient-centered care and employs a comprehensive multimodal approach in evaluating every individual. Proficient in state-of-the-art advanced interventional procedures, he seamlessly integrates his extensive knowledge of osteopathic techniques to facilitate the treatment process, enabling patients to attain the utmost quality of life.

Dr. Shah’s areas of expertise within pain medicine encompass a wide range of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, diabetic neuropathy, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, postoperative/non-operative chronic knee pain, hip pain, and neuromodulation. In his free time,  Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with his family and coaching as well as playing sports with his two sons and biking.
