About Alexandra Bowen:
Alexandra MOT, OTR/L, also known around the clinic as “AB” or “Ally,” is a skilled occupational therapist at Alliance Orthopedics. She specializes in upper extremity rehabilitation, with a focus on reducing chronic pain, restoring function, and helping patients achieve greater independence in their daily activities.
Alexandra earned both her Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Occupational Therapy degrees from Quinnipiac University. Her education, combined with her dedication to patient-centered care, allows her to develop individualized treatment plans that help patients regain confidence and improve their overall quality of life. Before entering orthopedic practice, Alexandra completed diverse clinical fieldwork experiences, providing her with a well-rounded foundation in occupational therapy. Her training included acute care, pediatrics, school-based therapy, community reintegration, geriatric care, and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and education.
These experiences allowed her to work with patients across the lifespan, addressing a wide range of physical, cognitive, and functional challenges while developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique goals. She is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and American Health Training for Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED. Outside of treating, She loves spending time with her family and friends, hiking and traveling.
