Mehul Shah, DO

Dr. Mehul Shah, DO, is a board-certified pain management specialist in New Jersey, bringing both expertise and compassion to his role at Alliance Orthopedics in East Brunswick, Old Bridge, and Randolph. Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Shah is proud to care for the community he calls home.

He earned his undergraduate degree in biology and neuroscience from Boston University, graduating with honors. He then pursued his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he ranked in the top ten of his class. During this time, he also completed a Master’s in Public Health, further deepening his understanding of patient wellness and preventive care.

Dr. Shah went on to complete his residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in interventional pain management at Tufts University and Baystate Medical Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, with additional certification in pain medicine.

With a patient-first mindset, Dr. Shah takes a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach to care, combining advanced interventional procedures with his background in osteopathic medicine to deliver effective, long-term pain relief. His goal is always to help patients improve their function, reduce discomfort, and return to living life to the fullest.

Dr. Shah treats a wide range of pain conditions, including back and neck pain, diabetic and neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, chronic joint pain, and postoperative or non-operative knee and hip pain. He is also experienced in neuromodulation therapies, offering modern solutions for even the most persistent cases.

Outside of work, Dr. Shah is a dedicated family man who loves spending time with his wife and two sons. Whether he’s biking, coaching, or playing sports with his kids, he values staying active and connected, both in and out of the office.
