Dr. Michael A. With advanced training in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Thomas is skilled in minimally invasive procedures, arthroscopy, bunion correction surgery, reconstructive surgery, and total ankle replacement to treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including deformities, arthritis, fractures, and soft tissue injuries.
As a dedicated foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Thomas takes a collaborative, whole-person approach to care. Dr. Thomas is double board-certified by both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He has authored several publications in scientific journals and is a frequent speaker at local, state, and national medical conferences. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology with minors in Business and History at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He went on to complete a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at NJIT before earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.
He then completed his internship and residency at Inspira Health Network, where he gained extensive experience in a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. After finishing up his residency, Dr. Thomas completed his advanced fellowship training at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, where he focused on correcting complex foot and ankle deformities and gained specialized experience in orthoplastics.
Dr. Thomas was drawn to medicine by a simple but powerful belief: good health is the foundation of a full and meaningful life. He’s passionate about helping patients overcome pain, injury, and long-standing conditions, enabling them to stay active and maintain their independence.
