Dr. Shaigan Iqbal is a distinguished physician at Alliance Orthopedics, specializing in anesthesiology and pain management. After earning his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2015, Dr. Iqbal completed his internship, anesthesiology residency, and pain management fellowship at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He is board-certified in anesthesiology with a subspecialty certification in pain medicine.

Dr. Iqbal is dedicated to providing individualized, comprehensive care with a focus on compassion and evidence-based pain management therapies. He believes strongly in the doctor-patient relationship that many large group models and hospital systems have strayed away from. He strives to improve patient outcomes and enhance quality of life by utilizing the latest advancements in the field.

His areas of expertise encompass a broad spectrum of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, diabetic neuropathy, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, postoperative and non-operative chronic knee pain, hip pain, and neuromodulation. Dr. Iqbal is a member of professional organizations such as the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, Spine Intervention Society, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists. Outside of his medical practice, he enjoys pickleball, biking, basketball, ultimate frisbee, and spending as much time as possible with his family and friends.
