The AlterG Anti-gravity Treadmill is a physical therapy tool that helps people with injuries or other issues walk or run without pain. It does this by reducing the gravitational force on the user, which takes the pressure off of the joints and muscles.

The AlterG Anti-gravity Treadmill works by using air pressure to support the user’s body weight. Once a patient steps inside the treadmill, they are zipped up into a special airtight chamber. The chamber is then pressurized with air, which reduces the amount of gravity on the user.

Your physical therapist will work with you to set the amount of air pressure that is right for you. As you get stronger, the amount of air pressure can be reduced. This allows you to gradually increase the amount of weight-bearing on your injury, which speeds up the healing process. Throughout your rehabilitation program, your physical therapist will monitor your progress and ensure that you are on track to make a full recovery.
