Meet Dr. Maniam - Pain Management Doctor in NJ
Dr. Maniam is a nationally recognized, double board-certified specialist in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine. His approach combines advanced, evidence-based treatments with personalized care focused on improving function, quality of life, and each patient’s individual goals.
After completing his undergraduate education at Cornell University, Dr. Maniam earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Columbia University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Prior to joining Alliance Orthopedics, Dr. Maniam served as Director of the Pain Medicine Department at ChristianaCare in Delaware, where he developed hospital-wide opioid-sparing protocols and founded its first outpatient comprehensive pain management center. He also co-founded an interventional pain and regenerative medicine practice in New York City focused on minimally invasive treatments designed to restore function and help patients avoid unnecessary surgery.
Dr. Maniam also has specialized training in venous and lymphatic medicine and is board eligible through the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He remains actively involved in clinical research, medical education, and national professional societies to provide patients with current, evidence-based treatment options.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Maniam enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, traveling, and exploring new cuisines. We are proud to welcome him to Alliance Orthopedics and look forward to the expertise he will bring to our patients.
