Gianna Taffo

Gianna Taffo, OTD, OTR/L is a highly trained occupational therapist at Alliance Orthopedics. She specializes in rehabilitation of the upper extremity, focusing on decreasing chronic pain and maximizing function and independence in all activities of life.

Gianna attended Alvernia University, where she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Science. From there, Gianna attended Cedar Crest College, where she earned her Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. During her research year, she focused on exploring the physical activity levels of foster children, and creating opportunities for foster youth to participate in free sports programming. Fieldwork experiences include work with post-surgical hand rehabilitation, neurological disorders and orthopedic conditions. As a former collegiate athlete, she has a passion for treating athletes to facilitate a return to sport.

Gianna is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and the American Heart Association Adult and Pediatric First Aid and CPR. She is also a certified personal trainer holding certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
