Daniel G. Arias, DO is a sports medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee surgery including arthroscopic procedures, joint replacements, and fracture care.
With a passion for restoring quality of life, Dr. Arias believes in taking an individually tailored and compassionate approach to patient care. Patients appreciate his warm demeanor, thorough explanations, and dedication to achieving optimal outcomes.
He attended Auburn University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science and subsequently obtained his Master of Science at Barry University, before completing his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Arias was trained to take a holistic approach to patient care and was additionally trained in manipulative medicine, which he applies to orthopedic care.
He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. During this experience, he received a strong general orthopedic surgical training that included extensive exposure to robotic total knee replacements.
Following residency, Dr. Arias completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Andrews Research & Education Foundation in Gulf Breeze, Florida. During fellowship, he treated athletes from all sports backgrounds, including working with national experts in care for baseball and football athletes.
Dr. Arias served as an assistant team physician at Auburn University, providing sideline football coverage. Throughout his training, he additionally provided coverage for Pensacola Blue Wahoos, University of Nevada at Las Vegas, Tuff N’Uff MMA, Las Vegas Knighthawks, Las Vegas Desert Dogs, and multiple other college and high school programs.
Dr. Arias has been committed to staying well-informed with research in the field, participating in multiple research projects and keeping up with the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery to ensure his patients will receive the highest standard of care. He also believes in accessing the community through community service and public education for both our young athletes and weekend warriors. This connection to the community inspires him to reach all different aspects of our population and help patients achieve their goals so they can get the most out of life.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Arias enjoys spending time with his family, staying active outdoors, enjoying new foods, and traveling.
