Ferdinand Iannaccone, DO

Dr. Ferdinand Iannaccone was born and raised in New Jersey and is a proud graduate of Seton Hall University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he discovered a strong passion for physiology and pharmacology, ultimately guiding him toward a career in anesthesiology.

Following medical school, Dr. Iannaccone completed his internship in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. He then began his residency in anesthesiology at Rutgers–New Jersey Medical School, where he served as Chief Resident. Dedicated to further specialization, he completed a prestigious fellowship in pain management at Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine, based at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.

During his residency and fellowship training, Dr. Iannaccone was actively involved in clinical research, with a focus on pain management. His scholarly work includes lead authorship on several publications, notably in areas such as genicular nerve ablation for chronic knee pain, strategies to improve patient education in anesthesia and pain care, and innovations in the delivery of interventional treatments.

Dr. Iannaccone later returned to academic medicine as a faculty member, training future anesthesiologists and pain management specialists as an Assistant Professor. Today, he applies his extensive knowledge and clinical experience in the outpatient setting, where he emphasizes an integrative approach to care—blending interventional procedures with physical therapy and chiropractic modalities.

He is highly skilled in minimally invasive techniques, including selective nerve blocks, nerve ablation, spinal and peripheral nerve stimulation, and venous ablation—offering patients a comprehensive pathway to long-term wellness and improved function.

Fluent in Italian and proficient in Spanish, Dr. Iannaccone values patient education and communication, and believes in empowering individuals with knowledge about their care. He is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
